DEWSBURY MASSAGE THERAPY
Rossiter Stretching Workouts
Get out of pain in as little as 30 minutes!
Immediate & long term relief of soft tissue injuries & chronic structural pain.
The Rossiter System encompasses more than 170 powerful stretching techniques that two people do together (therapist and client) to quickly and powerfully loosen, elongate and integrate large volumes of connective tissue at once. A session is called a “workout,” and typically, the client lies fully clothed on the floor on a mat while the therapist uses his/her foot to anchor tissue in place and calls for specific movement by the client.
Workouts concentrate on the connective tissue in the body, a network of stretchy-but-strong tissue from your head to your toes, so it can operate without friction and tightness. Rossiters powerful stretching provides flexibility and space in the connective tissue reducing pain and stiffness while increasing circulation of blood, nutrients, oxygen and lymph.
The control is in the clients hands (the person in charge, PIC), it is their choice on how much weight is used and how much stretching is done. The harder you work the better the results. Many clients have been able to hold off from surgery due to regular workouts.
It is important to let your coach know prior to booking if you are taking any medication including blood thinners, paracetamol and aspirin, if you have had any surgery, cortisone injections, rheumatoid arthritis, any skin conditions, wounds or sores, Implants or replacements, high protein diet (increases sensitivity) or had cancer in the last 5years.
These precautions are for your safety therefore written consent maybe needed from your doctor for the above. These powerful stretches are safe but certain drugs, like in any therapy or exercise, can reduce/increase your pain threshold, increase chance of bruising or be affected. Cortisone injections (changes fascia so you may work twice as hard for 50% less effectiveness) so please please tell your coach.
Your first session is generally longer, discussing your particular issue, posture, alignment and what stretching would be helpful for you
